This section is designed to give you the 411 on how we operate at The Bellwether.
Our number one aim is to make your homeware dreams come true. We will pursue your dream as far as we can and work on the ethic that if we would not be happy with it ourselves, then you certainly wouldn’t be. We will never send an item out to you that we would not be proud to have ourselves.
Whilst every care is taken to pack up your fabulous new purchase, we can’t take any responsibility for what happens in transit. Much as we’d love to, we don’t have any control over Royal Mail, so if you want to insure your goods, or get a guaranteed (by the Post Office) delivery date, then we suggest that you request Special Delivery. Simply specify your choice when you contact us and we will accommodate it wherever possible.
Having said that, you need to bear in mind that we ain’t multi-billionaires and are not in this for the money and as such, in the event of any returns, then you must cover the postage costs.
Once you have made a purchase, we will ship it as soon as we can, usually within 3 working days. If there are any delays, we will endeavour to inform you of such by email. All payments for both goods and postage must be received by The Bellwether before your order is dispatched. If you are ordering a custom item, then please ask for a timescale for completion which will be agreed with you before payment is made.
Items will be sent First Class Royal Mail within in the UK under the value of £40 and First Class Recorded Delivery over the value of £40 free of additional charge. Items will be sent by standard Air Mail internationally. For guidelines on shipping times, please consult Royal Mail.
Most of the beautiful things on our site are handmade, either by our own fair paws, our excellent stitchy team or by our trusted suppliers. With that in mind, colours and textures may occasionally vary slightly from those depicted, depending on materials we have in stock. Items are also not pictured to scale. If you have a particular fabric or yarn in mind, then be sure to tell us so we can let you live the dream!
If we do not have an item in stock, we will endeavour to make you one from scratch, where possible. Just remember this may take longer. So give us some notice of what you want and we will give you an indication of a timescale for delivery.
Because each item is personalised, then we cannot make a refund for an item that is simply not wanted. Only if there is a major defect can we refund any monies paid, and then, as above, the postage costs will be retained by The Bellwether. We can also take no responsibility for any mistakes made by Paypal or by your bank.
We won’t sell information about you or your purchases to anyone else. If you make a purchase, then we will add you to our mailing list. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, then tell us and we will take you off it. We only mail out around once a month or less.
Please note that once you make a purchase, you have entered into a legally binding contract with us. We say this for your protection as well as for ours.
By making your purchase, then you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions – if you have any queries, then please make them known before you make your purchase. Please also make yourself aware of the Distance Selling regulations and your rights and duties pertaining to it here.
Please note that as we switch from being Miso Funky to being The Bellwether, there will be an overlap in names. Our banking will remain in the name of Miso Funky for some time, as will aspects of our website. The Bellwether and Miso Funky are one and the same business.
